diving deep – kelp, Tibetan Buddhist cloth, gold paper

This is another piece I created for the “What Was She Thinking” show at Enso Art Gallery in Half Moon Bay, Ca.

The woman is in deep into the journey. She seems overwhelmed and completely saturated. I found this appropriate saying:

“Be not the slave of your own past – plunge into the sublime seas, dive deep, and swim far, so you shall come back with self respect, and with new power, with an advanced experience, that shall explain and overlook the old.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

I used the photo of this woman as inspiration. diving-deep-inspiration-small.jpg
