I found this wonderful beeswax candle shop in Santa Fe and brought some candles back to California. I really liked this family owned and run business and learned a lot about the benefits of beeswax. I share some info from their website http://www.santafecandle.com/ below:
Most candles: toxic leftovers.
Most commercial candles are made of poisonous chemicals. Paraffin [...]

Driving into Santa Fe we were listening to a radio show about the homeless in this town. I did not verify these figures, but it was stated that there are 500 homeless children here and very few programs for homeless families, kids and women. Many of these hidden beings are sleeping in cars and couch [...]

The Los Desaparacito/The Disappeared installation is an outstanding collaboration of nine galleries around Santa Fe, NM. They are all part of this exhibit of artists whose lives have been profoundly affected by the political upheavals in Latin America over the last thirty years.

Since so many of my friends are belly dancers in HMB, I thought I would put up a few photos of dancers out here. Ander and friends played for these two troops at the Santa Fe Pumpkin Festival - yes can’t get away from those pumpkins!
I liked the belly limbo these women did.

I see this tree all over Santa Fe. I really like the leaves and pods on them. I’ve started using the little stems that fall of the tree in an art piece. Does anyone know what the name of the tree is and if the seed pods are used for anything?
