Blood and water fuel Maasai warriors’ marathon

Water and athletic events are themes that are entering my field right now. Here is a very interesting story about some Maasai warriors who are running in a London marathon. They are doing this to raise money to fund a water source for their people. I admire their innovative and peaceful solution to bring attention to their plight.

Danger: do not drink hot tap water

The claim has the ring of a myth. But environmental scientists say it is real.
The reason is that hot water dissolves contaminants more quickly than cold water, and many pipes in homes contain lead that can leach into water. And lead can damage the brain and nervous system, especially in young children.
